West Bengal Bandh today: Left, Congress observe 12-hour shutdown to protest against police crackdown

Left Front and associate parties has called for a 12- hour West Bengal bandh from 6 am today in protest against police crackdown on Kolkata march. On Thursday, Left and Congress activists demanding jobs clashed with the police in central Kolkata's Esplanade area as they tried to break barricades on their way to state secretariat Nabanna, resulting in injuries to several participants and also the police.
