3 dead as violent CAA protests rock country; prohibitory orders at several places

Massive protests were witnessed across the country on Thursday as demonstrators took to the streets against the amended Citizenship Act. At least three casualties were reported from Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow and from Karnataka's Mangaluru as violence broke out during protests. Aiming to bring national and international attention to their fight against the controversial law, protesters from a wide social and political spectrum joined forces as marches and meets were held across the country.
