2019 in review: India soared at United Nations notching diplomatic wins

India, in the year 2019, emerged as a leader in combating climate change and gained victory in its battle against terrorism, a review has stated. India has also received unanimous endorsement of the Asia Pacific Group for election next year to a non-permanent seat on the Security Council starting in 2021, it said. "They may stoop low, we soar high," India's Permanent Representative Syed Akbaruddin had said, making a reference to Pakistan's unidimensional obsession of targeting India at the UN.
