West Bengal: TMC MLA Manirul Islam's vehicle smashed days after abduction of BJP leader's daughter

Local TMC MLA Manirul Islam's vehicle was smashed by a mob in Labhpur area in West Bengal's Birbhum district on Saturday after which he was chased and was forced to take refuge in the local police station, police said. The incident was reported days after the daughter of BJP leader Suprabhat Batyabyal was allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint in the district. The girl's mother lodged a complaint at Labhpur police station after the alleged kidnapping on Thursday.
