The worst terror strike till date on security personnel was considered to be the Uri attack in September 2016. But Thursday's attack at Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, where at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed and several were injured after terrorists targeted a convoy with a powerful explosive is even worse. According to television reports, terrorists triggered the terror attack when the convoy of more than 70 CRPF vehicles were plying through the Srinagar-Jammu highway. Terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack.
