
Nearly half of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in India may be shut down by March 2019 because changes in regulatory landscape are making it unviable to operate, according to the Confederation of ATM Industry (CATMi). The shutting down of ATMs will hard both urban and rural population, besides dealing a blow to the digitization policy, CATMi Director V. Balasubramanian said.
