Gujarat: Death of 11 lions in Gir forest triggers Govt inquiry
The Gujarat Government has ordered an inquiry into the death of death of 11 lions in the protected Gir forest range. All the dead lions were found in Gir (east) division, mainly from Dalkhaniya range in the last few days, an official said. Prima facie it appears that most of the lions died due to infighting, wildlife experts have said.
